I'm home from spending my halloween weekend in Ohio and Michigan.
Friday-
Halloween night I spent my evening eating at a Mongolian restaurant where they cook with swords (totally badass and since it was Halloween one of the cooks was dressed as Kratos from God of War which made it even more badass), and then signed autographs and drew sketches at the Vault of Midnight in Ann Arbor, Michigan the rest of the evening. The VOM was an amazing two floor comic store filled with so many indy books and collectables I wanted to explode. It's been around for about 13 years and only within the past 2-3 years has even started carrying any books from Marvel or DC. To say it was a awesome shop is an understatement.

Downstairs.

Myself, Liz (one of the owners), and Dirk Manning

Our first group of loyal fans!

Signing away.

Dirk shows off his signature Cthulhu autograph sketch.

New fans come in all ages.

We discuss the finer side of monkeys and evil...

Resulting in Cthul-ape. Coming soon to a mini-comic for you.

Another happy fan!

Even Karin found herself having a good time. Finding beer probably helped the cause a little too.

More halloweened NW fans!

John McCain made an appearance too, and reminded everyone to Vote Tues Nov 4th! Who knew he liked Nightmare World?!

It was all fun and games until the zombie showed up.

Dirk tries to fend her off with tiny skulls...

... to no avail. Soon he was bitten and turned into a zombie as well.

I quickly became the next victim.

And like all zombie outbreaks the epidemic quickly spread through the whole store! Soon everyone was doing the Thriller!

Saturday-
We went to Cedar Point rollercoaster theme park. It currently holds the world record for most roller coasters with 17, one of them being the world's second tallest and second fastest roller coaster, Top Thrill Dragster, which reaches speeds of 120 mph and a height of 420 feet. Cedar Point is also the only amusement park with four roller coasters that are taller than 200 feet. As of 2008, Cedar Point is the only park in the world with 75 rides, becoming the park with the most rides. Known as "America's Roller Coast", Cedar Point has been voted "Best Amusement Park in the World" the past ten years.

This is the point where our rollercoaster stopped midway up it's tracks and the control guy came running like a banshee towards the train. We expected a mechanical error, but no, it was me... taking pictures. He stopped the train cause I was taking pictures. Appearently that's frowned upon and he threatened to kick me out of the park. Boo... anyways, I didn't take anymore coaster pics after that.

Here's the Top Thrill Dragster. It was the highest and fastest roller coaster in the world until about 2 years ago. 120 MPH in 4 seconds and reaches up 420 feet!

It's one of those rides even the video doesn't do it justice.
Snoopy is almost like Santa at the parade. Or satan. It was halloween and a little creepy.

And that's my weekend. How was your halloween?
